# Refund and cancellation policy

> HeatCheck subscriptions are paid in advance and are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

## Payments

- Pro is ordered by email for a month or a year, Investor for a year. A plan starts once its payment is received and runs for the period paid.
- All payments are final. We do not refund a period once it has started, a partly used period, unused seats, or the difference when you move to a lower plan or a shorter period.
- A period renews only once its next payment is made. If you do not renew, the plan ends at the end of the paid period and the account continues on Free.
- The Free plan costs nothing and has nothing to refund.

## Cancelling

Email [hello@heatcheck.tech](mailto:hello@heatcheck.tech) from the email address on the account, or ask the account owner to. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the period you paid for, and nothing more is charged.

## Mistakes and the law

If we charge you in error, for example twice or the wrong amount, we correct it. Where the law of your country gives you a right to a refund that this policy does not, the law applies. Bespoke research engagements follow the terms agreed for each engagement.
